Terms & Conditions
Welcome to HR Success Centre ("HRSC," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hrsuccesscentre.com, our related subdomains, our free tools and content, and our paid software-as-a-service products, including AlignHQ, InterviewIQ, HR Flowdesk, and the Parental Leave Builder (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.
1. Description of Services
HRSC operates an AI-focused HR platform offering: (a) free tools, guides, and educational content; (b) email-gated lead magnets and resources; and (c) paid subscription software products used by HR professionals and organizations for hiring, interview structuring, and workforce policy tasks. Some Services incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning features, as described further in Section 5 (Artificial Intelligence Features).
We may add, modify, or discontinue any Service, feature, or free tool at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers of material changes affecting a paid product.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into this Agreement, whether individually or on behalf of an organization.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Services, or fall delinquent on payment (see Section 9, Suspension & Blocklisting).
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation
Paid Services are billed on a subscription basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) through our payment processors, Stripe and/or PayPal.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal.
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@hrsuccesscentre.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date.
- We will provide reasonable advance notice of any price changes to an active subscription, and price changes will apply prospectively from your next renewal.
- If a scheduled payment fails, access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved. After three consecutive failed payment attempts, we may refer the outstanding balance to a collection agency.
- Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand; trial terms will be disclosed at signup.
4. Fees & Refunds
Our pricing structure varies by product, and refund treatment depends on how a given Service is billed:
- Free tools— tools and resources offered at no cost carry no payment obligation and are provided "as is," subject to the other terms of this Agreement.
- Subscription products — you may cancel at any time as described in Section 3. Cancellation stops future billing; charges already processed for the current billing period are non-refundable, and you retain access through the end of that period.
- One-time purchases (e.g., single-purchase templates, guides, or standalone services) — all one-time payments are final and non-refundable once access is granted or the purchase is delivered, except where required by applicable law.
We encourage you to review product details, and use a free trial where one is available, before purchasing. Refund requests may be directed to hello@hrsuccesscentre.com and, outside of the policy above, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
This section applies to AI-enabled products, including InterviewIQ and AlignHQ.
- Our AI features are designed to support — not replace — human judgment in hiring and HR decisions. Outputs (including interview questions, candidate assessments, scoring, or recommendations) are decision-support tools only and must not be used as the sole or final basis for any employment decision, including hiring, promotion, or termination.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of AI-generated outputs complies with applicable employment, human rights, and anti-discrimination laws in your jurisdiction, and for any bias audits, disclosures, or candidate notifications required where you operate (for example, automated employment decision tool laws in certain U.S. states and cities, or the EU AI Act's provisions on high-risk AI systems in recruitment).
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect limitations in the underlying models. We do not guarantee the accuracy, fairness, or completeness of any AI-generated content, and we make no representation that our tools are bias-free or compliant with any specific jurisdiction's AI or employment regulations.
- Where you submit candidate or employee personal data into an AI-enabled Service, you confirm you have the legal right and any required consents to do so, and you remain the data controller for that information. Our processing of that data on your behalf is governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, a separate Data Processing Agreement available on request.
- We do not use customer- or candidate-submitted content to train foundation models for third parties. Any use of aggregated or de-identified data to improve our own Services is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. License to Use the Services
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business purposes. This license does not include the right to:
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Services to third parties as a bureau or managed service;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Services or underlying software;
- use automated means to scrape, extract, or replicate platform content or functionality; or
- remove proprietary notices or branding from any output, template, or material provided through the Services.
Downloadable templates, guides, and free resources remain licensed (not sold) to you for personal or internal business use, and may be customized with your own branding but not redistributed, resold, or republished commercially.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, software, trademarks, and materials made available through the Services are owned by HR Success Centre or its licensors and are protected under Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. The absence of a copyright or trademark symbol does not waive our rights. Except for the limited license in Section 6, no rights are transferred to you.
Any content, data, or materials you upload or input into the Services ("Customer Data") remains your property. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Services.
8. Data Privacy
Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information — including information collected through free tool sign-ups, email capture, accounts, and AI-enabled products — is described in our Privacy Policy, available at hrsuccesscentre.com. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described there. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and take reasonable steps to support compliance obligations for users located in other jurisdictions, including the EU/UK (GDPR) and applicable U.S. state privacy laws, where relevant to our processing.
9. Suspension & Blocklisting
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, without liability, if: payment obligations are not met; you misuse or misappropriate our intellectual property; you violate these Terms or applicable law; or your use poses a security or operational risk to the Services or other users. Access will be restored once the underlying issue (such as an outstanding balance) is resolved, at our discretion.
10. Links to Third-Party Websites
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, tools, or services (including payment processors and email platforms). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party sites, and inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement.
11. Testimonials
If you provide feedback, reviews, or testimonials about the Services — including through social media or direct communication — you agree we may use them in our marketing and promotional materials. Testimonials are the one category of user communication excluded from any confidentiality commitments we otherwise make.
12. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee any specific outcome, result, hiring success, or business result from using the Services, free resources, or AI-enabled features. Results depend on factors outside our control, including how outputs are used. Past results achieved by other users are not indicative of your future results.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HR Success Centre and its affiliates, directors, and team members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HR Success Centre, its directors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including any employment or data protection law applicable to your use of AI-enabled features.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you access the Services from outside Canada, you remain responsible for compliance with local laws, and nothing in this section limits any consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under the mandatory law of your jurisdiction of residence.
16. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, business model, or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated by posting an updated effective date, and, where required by law or where changes materially affect paid subscribers, by direct notice (such as email). Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any product-specific agreements (such as a Data Processing Agreement), constitute the entire agreement between you and HR Success Centre regarding the Services, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, oral or written.
